Google is rumored to have taken part against the action of the massive illegal fishing in the sea (illegal fishing). The form of participation by the company Google is launching a new tool in Australia on Friday (14/11) that utilizes satellite data to track the thousands of ships in real time.
Reporting from NDTV, interactive tools is still a prototype, developed in conjunction with SkyTruth environmental activist and advocacy group Oceana sea, and was unveiled at the World Park Congress in Sydney.
Tools developed by Google is the latest step of environmentalists against illegal fishing, which is currently estimated by the Global Ocean Commission.
According to Brian Sullivan (Google Earth Outreach and Oceans) said that many of the trends in the marine environment can be serious, the combination of cloud computing and big data are enabling new tools to visualize search of illegal fishing.
This tool uses data from a network point of Automatic Identification System, which took the GPS broadcast from the ship location map movement. The prototype has tracked more than 3,000 fishing vessels, with a tool.
