Android Lollipop v5.0.1 turns bringing a new bug, greedy RAM memory

Android Lollipop v5.0.1 turns bringing a new bug, greedy RAM memory

Lollipop Android v5.0 officially introduced last August has brought many changes to almost 80% in the UI interface and system security. As usual, the latest version of the Android operating system that was first released surely brings a new bug in that version.

This is evident with the release of version 5.0.1 of Android Lollipop in some Nexus phone earlier this month. In fact, a few weeks before Google has just rolled out an update for Nexus v5.0.0 Lollipop. Although the present version 5.0.1 to fix the bug problem on the old version, this does not mean that the latest version is free from the problem of bugs.

Some Nexus users who have done an update to Android v5.0.1 Lollipop, reported that his Android phone greedy RAM memory after the update of the latest version. The report revealed that they were ordinary phone Nexus consuming 500 MB of RAM for the system Android, is now up to 1.2 GB for the system.

Currently, there is no official information from the Android team on the issue. But, one of the Android forum members claim to have found the cause of the problem, which is caused by leaking memory in the "system server" when the screen is turned on or off (frameworks / base / services / core / java / com / android / server / display / ColorFade.java ).

We do not know whether the Android team has responded to this problem and will present the latest version of the firmware update (probably Lollipop v5.0.3). So, we wait for official information from the Android Developers team.
