Gameloft branch office in Indonesia raided by police

Yesterday, the exact date of Monday 10 November 2014 at 1 pm Gameloft offices located in Yogyakarta has been raided by police. A group of policemen in plain clothes came and forced entry although the building has been banned by the security guard Gameloft, not long afterwards followed by other police officers who were wearing uniforms and Gameloft made it into the office in accordance with applicable regulations.

The raids carried out on reports that the site has been used as a practice of online gambling. After examination, the information is proven to be untrue. This incident certainly surprised Gameloft employees who numbered about 300 people and chirp or vent about the incident has spread employees' social media accounts.

In fact, in one of the social media accounts Gameloft one of the employees told me about his experience when asked about what the gift is received when he won a game that is being played. Though the game is played every day at the office is the process of testing games to find bugs before the games are released.

With the existence of such event, we expect the public (especially those close to the office Gameloft) in order to better understand the function and role of the developers of games and not continuously assume any place that has frills "games" means a place to play, let alone a gambling. That way there will be no further reports of origin accused not only interfere with the process of making games at Gameloft, but also interfere with the activities of the officers who are trying to secure the city.

Currently, we are still awaiting a formal response from the Gameloft regarding the loss or any other of the sudden raids. So, we wait for further news.
